This is a Collector Edition doll, first in a series, released by Mattel in 1997, product number #18894.
Barbie wears a flowing Empire gown of pale periwinkle blue chiffon with a butterscotch satin underlay and softly gathered sleeves. At her waist is a spill of tender pastel flowers tied with golden-edged ivory ribbon that criss-crosses a bodice trimmed in gleaming golden lace. An airy white lave overskirt with golden metallic motifs flows and swirls around her, while underneath, richly gleaming satin echoes the strawberry blonde of her hair.
