Swans mate for life which is why this embossed rim swan motif cake plate is so perfect as a wedding or anniversary gift for the vintage antique lover (or for yourself!).
No chips or cracks, slight wear to gold. Unmarked, Identified through a marked piece with same pattern and mold in a 2007 auction sale plate had exact swan scene with gold trim and marked JSVP on bottom for Johann Seltmann Bavaria, Seltmann produced many patterns that mimicked the famed RS Prussia lines. Circa 1900-1915.
