This is a first edition hardcover of "A Jewish Child is Born: Laws and Rites of Circumcision, Naming Boys and Girls" by Nathan Gottlieb, published by Bloch Publishing in 1960. The book is in very good condition with clean and unmarked pages. There is slight discoloration along the edge, visible in the last photo, but it comes with a near-perfect dust jacket. It is personally signed, dated, and inscribed by the author on the front end page: "For Judith and Bruce, in Friendship. Nathan Gottlieb Jan 31st 1964." Also included is a letter/insert from Rabbi and author Sidney Hoenig on Yeshiva University letterhead addressed to the author. The book appears to have been well-preserved on a shelf.
