☀︎Details
・To make it easy to hold, the shape is designed to be most expanded slightly closer to the nib than the center.

・The wood has been sanded with grits ranging from coarse to 600. This creates a moderate luster, allowing you to enjoy the natural texture and scent of the wood.

・The surface has been cut repeatedly while checking to ensure there are no irregularities.

・The finish uses Kinu Oil. The main ingredient is rice-derived, tasteless, odorless, and gentle on the skin.

・By alternating sanding vertically and horizontally, the sanding marks are made less noticeable.

★ Karin Kumo Kouhaku (Padauk Burl Red and White)
A hardwood of the Fabaceae family
Scientific Name: Pterocarpus indicus
Also known as: Amboyna Burl
It is a completely different species from the Rosaceae family's Karin (Quince), which is known as a garden tree.
The heartwood is reddish-brown and is a hard and heavy wood.
It is widely distributed in Southeast Asia and is used for construction materials, furniture, and musical instruments.

Kumo (Burl)
It is rare because it can only be obtained from limited parts of the tree, such as the trunk and roots.
The causes of burl formation are said to be the abnormal proliferation of cells during the repair process due to damage to the tree caused by insect intrusion, injury, disease, typhoons, etc., as well as genetic factors.
Various patterns appear, such as swirls, ripples, and eye-like grains.

Kouhaku (Red and White)
A state in which the reddish part (red) and the white wood (the white part of the sapwood) are mixed, and the contrasting colors have artistic value.

Conversion to mechanical pencil is possible.
