Offered here is an original 1982 CBS/Fox Video rental store promotional display box for Playboy Video – Volume 1. Featuring cover model Lonny Chin and showcasing early Playboy Home Video releases with appearances by John & Bo Derek, Shannon Tweed, and others, this oversized promotional piece was distributed to video rental stores to advertise the earliest Beta and VHS editions.
When assembled, the display measures approximately 14" × 10" × 2" and was intended to hang from the ceiling or sit prominently on store shelving to attract renters.
This example is especially rare because it remains unfolded, unused, and includes the original storage envelope and hanger tab—items that were normally discarded by rental stores. A complete promotional package from the very beginning of the Playboy home video line.
