Cast metal coin bank from the 1950's-1960's depicting Santa Claus climbing out of a chimney on a snow-covered rooftop. These coin banks were often given as premiums for opening a "Christmas Savings Account" by local banks - this one advertises for First National Bank of Fostoria-Bloomfield (Ohio). The bank is about 6 3/4" high x 4 1/4" wide x 3 3/8" deep. The coin slot is on the bottom plate, which can be removed with a screwdriver to recover the coins. The manufacturer of the bank is unknown, but the bank is made from cast "pot metal" and cold-painted. As shown in the pictures, there is paint loss consistent with age. Overall, the Santa bank is in good vintage condition.
