There is another necklace listing exactly the same as this that claims this necklace is bakelite and amber and has been appraised through a video phone call with an expert. This necklace is neither of those things. The pods are clearly pods, not amber. And the larger beads have the concentric lines that tagua nut has. Bakelite is not made like that. The reason the other seller claims the tagua nut is bakelite is they tested with simichrome and the qtip came away with the dark yellow stain indicative of bakelite.
