Beautiful early 20th-century cigarette lighter with vertically striped engraved metal case and flip-top lid. Marked with an HW logo in wreath over "HAHWAY" and stamped "U.S. PATENT SEPT 20 1910 FEB 9 1914" and "MADE IN GERMANY" on the side. Great engine-turned stripe pattern on both front and back with side push-button ignition. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" and is in good condition with minor expected scratch and scuff type wear but a few small black spots on both sides. It doesn't light but does snap open strongly when the button is pushed.
