This Vintage or Antique signed with retail seller's marks MW Shaw Place Soup Spoon is a 6 5/8" serving spoon made of purity hallmarked 925 sterling silver, weighing 37.7 grams precious metal. Featuring an Art Nouveau style with ornate beads, flowing scrolls or ribbons, oval cartouche with previous owner's family monogram and repousse designs, this heirloom piece is from the United States and dates back to the early 20th century, between 1900-1940. The Michael W Shaw brand out of Galveston, Texas circa 1855-1938 adds a touch of history and elegance to any dining experience, making it a valuable addition to any collection of antiques. This spoon is in fair to good pre owned clean condition with moderate use wear some resharpening on the tip resulting in asymmetrical shape, otherwise has minor tarnish, good collector's Texas Houston Gulf Coast area history piece.
